Console Tables
A console table is a narrow table made to sit against a wall or behind a sofa. Depth runs 12 to 18 inches and is set by the corridor rather than by what you want to put on it: 10 to 12 inches suits a tight hallway, 14 to 16 is the standard, 18 to 20 is for a wide entrance hall.
Length runs about two thirds of the wall, or most of the length of the sofa it sits behind. Every console is made to order, so both numbers can follow the space.
