TV Cabinets
A TV cabinet should be wider than the screen it carries, with a few inches of surface either side so the television does not look like it is overhanging. Height is set by eye level from the sofa: the middle of the screen wants to land roughly level with your eyes when seated.
Depth is usually 16 to 20 inches, which takes a soundbar and a console with room for air behind. Every cabinet is made to order, so the width can follow the wall rather than a standard size.
